Introduction
Welcome to the pink science lab — the department’s own name for this episode. Episode 3 takes the 2026 Scopus Q1 paper in Social Sciences & Humanities Open and teaches it: how institutional culture and AI-enabled assessment connect to students’ meta-skill readiness.
The public cut carries the study’s scale in one line: 1,280 students, 12 universities, 3 tiers. The finding it refuses to bury is about governance. The link between AI-enabled assessment and readiness is stronger where governance is stronger. Tools do not produce meta-skills by themselves. Institutions do, or they fail to.
That is why the episode sits in a laboratory of academic management, not in a software tutorial. AI literacy, in the companion Frontiers in Education model, runs through engaging, creating, designing, and managing. Managing — ethics, risk, alignment — is the domain with the largest effect in that study. Episode 3 is the assessment face of the same argument.
The file is ep 03.MP4, the longest teaching cut in the public descriptions of the series so far, at about five minutes and fourteen seconds.
