Introduction
The MOOC opens here. The Story of Meta-skills, from the DTMS Lab in the Educational Leadership Department, runs from Neumeier’s 2012 book to the age of AI. In the public series it is presented by the Meta avatar of Dr. Chi Che.
The episode’s own summary is deliberately short: four domains, seventeen skills, one future-ready framework. It does not try to prove a paper. It teaches the map — Adaptive Expertise, Relational Dynamics, Creative Agility, Strategic Synthesis — so that every later episode can move inside it.
That map is the lab’s teaching instrument. Quality education and partnership (the SDG pair the lab names most often) are joined to the four capacities. Students are asked to see meta-skills as something a program can design for, not only something a talented person happens to have.
Start the series here. Episode 2 will ask what the map looks like in a teacher who innovates. Episode 3 will ask what it looks like when assessment itself is touched by AI.
